Protecting the rights and welfare of individuals through the judicial system has been a Walsh family tradition which goes back four generations. His great-grandfather Walsh was a trial judge in Ramsey County, St. Paul, Minnesota. Both his grandfathers were lawyers, one a Minnesota Supreme Court Justice. Knowing the judges and lawyers in his family, and working directly with many judges, gave Christopher Walsh a foundation and respect for the law.
